Walton uses her twelve years as a teacher, ten years of experience as a public speaker, and her infectious passion to leave audiences inspired and motivated to help change the world. Her speaking platform focuses on seizing and creating ways to bring empathy, kindness, and compassion to the forefront.

Her debut novel, Cracked, was an ALA Quick Picks Nominee. It made both the 2013 ILA Young Adults' Choices list and the Keystone to Reading Book Award Master List (PA). Her third YA novel, Ultimatum, received a STARRED review from Publishers Weekly and included in Barnes & Noble's “10 of Our Most Anticipated Indie YAs of 2017” list.In addition to her speaking, Walton has also led many powerful writing workshops for children (grades 3 – 12) and adults.
