NEW BOOK! NEW BOOK! NEW BOOK!

LASSBERRY REMONADE is a heartfelt and sharply funny contemporary middle grade told in alternating points of view, one a grief-stricken girl desperate to hold on to the home she’s lost, and the basketball-obsessed newcomer who moves in. Their unlikely bond begins at the edge of a pond they both believe belongs to them. Sold to Jaynie Royal at Regal House Publishing. Publication planned for summer 2028.

LASSBERRY REMONADE will be my first middle grade novel released into the world and I cannot wait for readers to meet Grady Jane Flynn and Mae April Gulver. Two wildly different girls who have more in common than they realize because they're too busy judging each other to find common ground. The girls are forced to crush their assumptions and actually see each other.

Grady is a word-flipper (hence the title ; ) and Mae is a quote-lover.

I myself am a word-flipper and every flip used in the book is one that came out of my mouth! I've gotten into the habit of jotting them down in my Notes app because they're unbelievable. And hilarious.

I myself am a quote-lover and every quote that Mae uses in the novel is one I've scribbled onto a Post-it or added to that same Notes app.

So, one could say, Grady and Mae have wisps of yours truly, and one would be correct.

I suspect that could be a contributing factor as to why this novel flew out of me while drafting it. It felt so good. So fun. So natural.

One more suspicion...

You're going to love these two characters. They'll make you laugh. They'll make you cry.

I am absolutely thrilled to be working with the amazing Regal House Publishing.
